Occupational Summary

Order, receive, store, disburse and account for all photographic supplies and equipment, prepare purchase order requests and maintain photographic inventories as required. Maintain records of stock received, issued, and on order. Follow up on the progress of purchase orders by contacting Purchasing and Receiving Departments.

Work Performed

Prepare purchase order requests for the purchase of photographic materials, furnishing the required description and specifications of materials ordered. Contact Purchasing to insure delivery schedules, proper specifications, partial shipments and related details.

Receive, stock, and control the disbursement of photographic supplies and equipment with respect to type of materials, age and condition of materials and related usage requirements. Maintain required records of hazardous materials stocked.

Compile and maintain detailed inventory of all photographic materials, set up inventories for auditing and issuance purposes and arrange photographic supplies for proper preservation and disbursement.

Maintain clerical records to record the disbursement of photographic processing equipment and materials. File miscellaneous documents and forms as required.

Pick up, distribute, dispose of photographic materials as assigned. Maintain control documentation associated with materials controlled by Material Safety Data Sheets.

Receive shipments of photographic supplies direct from vendor and clear proper documents through receiving.

Operate in compliance with established Company and Government safety and health standards/directives.

Crate and uncrate photographic equipment by use of hand tools, hammers, saws and similar equipment.

Knowledge and Ability Required

General knowledge of reproduction processes and techniques. Working knowledge of photographic materials and material usage requirements, terminology and trade practices. Ability to control the disbursement and maintenance of photographic inventories.
